01About

Picky about what we park here.

We sell used cars with few miles on them, and we would rather have a short row of those than a long row of anything. That one rule decides what we list and what we say about it.

02Reading a car here

Three numbers we put first.

Every card and every listing on this site leads with the same three, in this order.

1

The odometer

Set in drum cells, the way it looks on a dash, and larger than the price beside it.

2

Miles a year

The reading divided by the car’s age. Twenty thousand miles means one thing on a two-year-old car and another on a ten-year-old one.

3

The other car

Any two cars can be put side by side, with the lower reading, the lower price and the newer year marked.

03House rules

How we write a listing.

You can check each of these on any car on the site.

1Miles firstThe odometer reading is the first figure on every card and every listing, ahead of the price.
2Every photo we tookThe gallery shows the whole set, and the count beside it is the real count.
3Figures, not adjectivesYear, mileage, miles a year, transmission, engine, color, VIN. The description comes after those.
4Sold means markedA sold car is labeled as sold and drops to the end of the list.

05The place

The lot, as it is.

A long row of cars parked nose-out on the lot
A dark sedan parked among other cars on the lot
Parked so you can walk the row.
Visitors standing beside a white car on the showroom floor
Room to stand back and look.
A buyer and a salesman shaking hands in front of a white car on the day it was handed over
Handover day.

The cars say it better. Start with the lowest reading.
