The truck does the miles.
A car on a carrier is not being driven. It rolls on at the lot and off at your address, so the odometer you read in the listing is, near enough, the one you find on your own driveway.
02Transport type
Three lanes.
The quote form asks you to pick one. They differ in who else is on the truck and whether the car is under cover.
-
1
Shared Load
Your car rides an open carrier with others going the same way. The route has more stops, so allow more days.
-
2
Exclusive
The truck carries your car and no one else’s, straight from the lot to your address.
-
3
Enclosed Transport
Inside a covered trailer, out of the weather and off the road spray for the whole trip.
Price and timing depend on the route, so they come with the quote rather than on this page.
03The quote
What moves the price.
How far
Distance from the lot to your address is the largest part of any quote.
Which lane
A shared carrier splits the trip between several cars. A truck to yourself, or a covered one, does not.
How soon
A flexible date leaves room to wait for a carrier already heading your way. A fixed date may not.

You look it over, read the odometer and sign. The slip below is yours to use.
05Delivery day
Your five minutes at the curb.
Before the driver leaves, take five minutes with the car. The slip lists what to look at. Print it from this page or keep it open on your phone.

07Questions
Shipping questions.
Q1Will the odometer really be the same?
A carried car is rolled onto the truck and off it again, and rides in between. Expect the reading on the listing plus the length of a ramp, and ask us for the figure on the day it leaves.
Q2Is the car insured while it travels?
Cover in transit is part of the carrier’s terms, and they differ from carrier to carrier. They are sent to you with the quote, before you agree to anything.
Q3Do I have to be there when it arrives?
Someone has to look the car over and sign for it. If that can’t be you, say who it will be in the special instructions.
Q4When do I pay for shipping?
The payment terms are stated in the quote. Sending the form is only a request for one.
